The MURA Breakfast series will feature a presentation by Pat Okker, dean of the College of Arts and Science on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, 8:00 – 9:30 a.m. at the Country Club of Missouri. Dean Okker will tell her personal story about suddenly pursuing three sports at the highest levels and how they have affected her academic career.
You can now sign up and pay for the December 4th breakfast (one or two people). The cost for the breakfast is $13.00; $26.00 if you are bringing a guest. Deadline to register for the December breakfast is November 27. NOTE: The online site will not accept payments after November 27.

Brian will speak about his job keeping student athletes healthy, eligible and participating at all levels during their time at MU.

MURA’s fall information meeting is set for Saturday, September 29, at the Country Club of Missouri, 1300 Woodrail Ave., Columbia. For the first time-ever, we will be “livestreaming” the meeting so that you can join the meeting without traveling. Thanks to a partnership with MU Extension, you can participate by using your computer, iPad, or smartphone to log-in to an internet address. The program includes updates on retiree benefits and pension plan. Guest speaker is Dr. Marshal Stewart, Chief Engagement Officer for UM System and MU Vice Chancellor for Extension and Engagement. There will also be a legislative update from the MU Flagship Council.
Questions for the speakers can be submitted ahead of time, as well as during the event. To submit a question prior to the meeting, simply send a brief email to MURA at MURetireesassoc@missouri.edu. In the subject line, write “MURA Info Meeting Question.” Include your phone number so that we can contact you if we need clarification or additional information. Keep your questions general, if possible and do NOT send any personal information such as account numbers, Medicare number, or Social Security number. Submit questions no later than September 19th so that speakers can tailor their presentations to the needs and interests of MURA members. The program is set for 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, but there will be coffee and light refreshments available beginning at 9:30 a.m. No pre-registration is required.

She received both her undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Missouri and will speak about the Supreme Court and Missouri’s judicial system.
