New MU Children’s Hospital

Dr. Tonya Johnson, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, FACHE,
University Health System Chief Operating Officer.

Dr. Johnson will provide information on the new Children’s Hospital, which will go above and beyond to create the best care environment for kids and their families. As part of the MU Health System’s reimagined space for women’s care, the brand-new birthing center will create the best beginnings for moms and babies.

Dr. Johnson joined the University of Missouri Health System on July 1 after over 25 years of progressive leadership roles in community and academic medical centers in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. Capitalizing upon her innate ability to break complex challenges into smaller and better-understood steps that lead to improved outcomes, she transitioned from chief nurse roles to operations leadership in 2018. As chief operating officer, she leverages her passion, clinical acumen, innovation, and LEAN mindset to improve efficiency, access, and overall value for healthcare patients.

At the April 2024 Board meeting, the Board approved making the Breakfast Zoom webinar and the live recording of the event available for FREE to members; however preregistration is required. Pre-registration and payment (via PayPal Account, Venmo bank transfer) for the breakfast must be received by Monday, October 28, 2024. If you have paid for the in-person breakfast and find that you are unable to attend, you may watch the webinar live via the Zoom link or later via the Zoom video recording link. You must request access to the live link by contacting Mary Leuci no later than the day prior to the breakfast.
