MURA Breakfast Meeting, April 5, 2022

Registration is closed

Pete Millier is the Director of Campus Facilities-Landscape Services and the Mizzou Botanic Garden. He has been with the University since 2005. Pete came to the University from California State University, Fresno where he managed the grounds department and the campus arboretum. Mr. Millier has worked in horticulture for over 30 years and has worked as a landscape contractor, nurseryman, and golf course superintendent before going into landscape management. Mr. Millier has a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science and Master of Public Administration, both from California State University, Fresno.

Pre-registration and payment (via PayPal Account or Venmo bank transfer) for the breakfast must be received by Monday, March 28, 2022. If you have paid for the in-person breakfast and find that you are unable to attend, you may watch the webinar via the Zoom link. The link will be sent to all registrants the day before the meeting. While there are no refunds, the paid reservation for the in-person breakfast is transferable to someone else for this breakfast event only.

MURA SPRING SOCIAL hosted by President Mun Y. Choi, 4:30 – 6 pm in the Walsworth Family Columns Club at Memorial Stadium. A short program will recognize the Chancellor’s 2021 and 2022 Faculty and Staff Retirees of the Year, MURA Kitty Dickerson Scholarship Recipients, and the retirees’ support of the University family. The $10 registration fee will go to the MURA Scholarship Fund. The deadline is April 4.

Guest Speaker: Samantha Moog, MA, LCSW, Director of Refugee Services at Catholic Charities of Central and Northern Missouri (CCCNMO)– Recent Evacuee and Refugee Resettlement in Mid-Missouri.

In the last few months, CCNMO has led an unprecedented effort to resettle more than 270 Afghan evacuees in Mid-Missouri. Join us for a behind the scenes look at resettlement and learn more about the evacuees and refugees in our community.

Moog authored several nonprofit, corporate, and federal grants to support refugee resettlement programming for a local agency in Columbia, Missouri.
