The MURA breakfast program on March 4 will feature Kara Whatley, MU’s new Vice Provost for Libraries and University Librarian. Ms. Whatley will provide an overview of what is new in the libraries and how retirees access the MU libraries whether or not you have an MU email address.

Prior to joining MU in 2024, Ms. Whatley was the university librarian at California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and served as the chief executive of the Caltech Library system. Her previous roles include positions of increasing leadership at Texas Tech University Libraries and New York University Libraries. Throughout her career, she has shown a consistent strategic focus on catalyzing information discovery, preservation and sharing to support the university mission.

At the April 2024 Board meeting, the Board approved making the Breakfast Zoom webinar and the live recording of the event available for FREE to members; however preregistration is required.

Pre-registration and payment (via PayPal Account, Venmo bank transfer) for the breakfast must be received by Monday, February 17, 2025. If you have paid for the in-person breakfast and find that you are unable to attend, you may watch the webinar live via the Zoom link or later via the Zoom video recording link. You must request access to the live link by contacting Mary Leuci no later than the day prior to the breakfast.

NOTE: The Zoom video recording will be available upon request for 45 days following the breakfast.
