The MURA Breakfast series featured a presentation by George P. Smith, Nobel Laureate and Curators’ Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Biological Sciences on on September 10 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Country Club of Missouri. Professor Smith was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in October of 2018 for his work on the phage display of peptides and antibodies. He is the only MU faculty member to have received this honor in the history of the university and will speak about factors, both personal and professional, that made this honor possible.
Professor Smith’s presentation will be “What made this honor possible?” You can sign up and pay online for the September 10 breakfast (one or two people). The cost for the breakfast is $15.00; $30.00 if you are bringing a guest.
Of course, you can also pre-register by mail using the registration form. Please note that you must submit payment with your pre-registration. Pre-registration and payment for the September breakfast must be received by Tuesday, September 3, 2019. No refunds will be available. However, you may assign your registration to someone else if you cannot attend
