The MURA Breakfast series featured a presentation by George P. Smith, Nobel Laureate and Curators’ Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Biological Sciences was on September 10 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Country Club of Missouri. Professor Smith was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in October of 2018 for his work on the phage display of peptides and antibodies. He is the only MU faculty member to have received this honor in the history of the university and will speak about factors, both personal and professional, that made this honor possible.
